Experience the World Cup through the new FIFA x Youtube partnership

FIFA’s new partnership with YouTube is going to change how families and young players follow

the 2026 World Cup. Instead of relying on traditional TV broadcasts, a lot of the content will also

be available on a platform kids already use every day. This will make it easier to keep up with

games, highlights, and stories, even if you’re not sitting at home in front of a TV. For youth

soccer families, it makes it easier to keep up with everything going on, and shows how the

game is starting to adapt to reach younger fans.

What The Partnership Includes

This partnership goes far beyond simply posting highlights after matches. FIFA and YouTube

are working together to create a steady stream of content throughout the tournament, giving

fans more ways to follow along in real time and between games. There will be portions of live

matches on YouTube, while some full matches may also be made available. Fans can also

expect access to behind-the-scenes moments with exclusive content that typically isn’t seen

during traditional broadcasts. On top of that, the platform will also feature highlight clips and

short-form videos designed for easy viewing, along with classic matches and moments from

past World Cups. FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström said the partnership will “engage

global fans in ways never seen before,” making the tournament more accessible and connected

to fans.

Why This Matters For Young Players

For youth soccer players, this opens up new opportunities to learn and stay inspired. Instead of

only watching full matches, kids can now watch highlights, interview clips, stories about players,

and behind-the-scenes footage. Seeing the game through more ways than just one can help

young athletes better understand how the sport is played at the highest level while keeping

them motivated to improve. With World Cup content available on YouTube, it becomes easier to

stay connected to the tournament in small moments throughout the day. Whether it’s watching a

few minutes before practice or catching up on highlights after a game, the experience becomes

much more flexible and family-friendly.

A More Connected Soccer Experience

At the end of the day, the FIFA–YouTube partnership is about bringing the game closer to the

next generation. By bringing the World Cup to YouTube, FIFA is making it easier for families and

young players to stay involved. It won’t just be something you sit down and watch at a specific

time. It will be something you can follow throughout the day, in a way that actually fits into real

life schedules.
